Dad came through his surgery well, and thankfully the spot on his kidney does not look to be cancerous.  Just a benign cyst or something.  His vitals are good, and physically he is healing quickly and well.  He has suffered some mental difficulties (delirium, agitation, hallucinations, loss of memory), probably resulting from a number of factors: lack of quality sleep while in the ICU, strong pain medication, and the natural trauma of going through surgery and anaesthesia.  But those are on the mend as well; Mom said he was much more calm and more himself today than yesterday.  He should be getting a normal recovery room tomorrow, which will probably allow him to get more sleep and peace of mind.

Thank you so much, everybody who has kept him and my family in your prayers.  I want you to know that I did get to talk to him on the phone the day after his surgery, and he expressed so much gratitude for all the prayers he’s received.  He knows they’ve been working!  So, many thanks from Dad!
