I just woke from a nap and saw this out my window:
And about 5 minutes later:
It’s starting to rain and thunder now!

Almost immediately after looking at those photos I was struck by the following verses from Psalm 96 in today’s Mattins (1961 Breviary):
“The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad. Clouds and darkness are round about him: justice and judgment are the establishment of his throne.”
